As founding Principal of Ventresca Lighting Designers, Chris has been shaping architectural lighting for more than two decades. His leadership has guided projects across hospitality, retail, commercial, multi-family and high-end residential sectors, each defined by a balance of precision and creativity.
Trained in theatrical lighting design, Chris brings a storytelling sensibility to architectural lighting and a belief that illumination shapes experience. After moving from Chicago, he began his career in New York City, contributing to projects at notable firms before establishing his own practice in 2008.
A natural collaborator, Chris partners closely with clients and project teams to realize lighting goals, ensuring projects are executed with care and precision from schematic design through completion. His knowledge of emerging technologies, codes, and lighting practices allows him to serve as a trusted advisor throughout the design process.
A LEED® Accredited Professional and active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Chris previously served on the board of the Designer’s Lighting Forum of New York. His leadership in design has earned international recognition, including being named to the Light Collective’s ‘40 Under 40’ list of lighting designers in 2021.
